Comarco completed the crane construction contract for Liebherr Container Cranes at the Comarco Supply Base. Comarco have been providing the personnel, lifting equipment and space required to fabricate the cranes as well as the barge and tugs needed to move the cranes from the Comarco Supply Base to the main Mombasa Port.

Comarco Supply Base rounded off 2014 with the discharge of the MV Thorco Serenity which called in at the Comarco Jetty on the 22nd December. The advantages of using the base were again on display as the vessel, carrying approximately 8,850cbm of project cargo, called in on arrival to Mombasa and discharged the majority of the out-of-gauge and heavy cargo directly to the waiting trucks.
