
COMARCO had a 145m loa project vessel MV Marmactan moored alongside its private berth in Mombasa to load 10,300 cbm of rig equipment, materials and casing as contracted by Exalo, the polish rig owner and operator. Exalo had three rigs working in Uganda, which have completed their tasking and are being exported back to Poland for refurbishment and deployment elsewhere.

Comarco and Bollore combined forces in February 2019 to deliver three out of gauge, heavy lift items of equipment to the Base Titanium facility in Mombasa, Kenya. Bollore heavy lift trailers were rolled onto barge C231 at the Comarco Base and secured. The barge was subsequently positioned by tug Comarco Swift alongside the project cargo vessel BBC Nagasaki in Kilindini Harbour.

Comarco has been contracted by JGH Marine of Denmark to assemble and install three mooring buoys in Kilindini Harbour, Mombasa. The buoys were fabricated by JGH Marine to upgrade vessel mooring capacity for the Kenya Port Authority. Each mooring system has a mooring capacity for vessels in excess of 100,000 dwt and comprises a 5.6m x 3m x 26mt buoy connected to a 27m x 76mm long stud link riser chain, linked to three x 27m stud link ground chains equidistantly spread at 120 degrees and each with a 15mt anchor.

Comarco completed the crane construction contract for Liebherr Container Cranes at the Comarco Supply Base. Comarco have been providing the personnel, lifting equipment and space required to fabricate the cranes as well as the barge and tugs needed to move the cranes from the Comarco Supply Base to the main Mombasa Port.

A train carrying mixed cargo de-railed whilst heading out of the Port of Mombasa to the Nairobi terminus, on the only bridge heading off the Mombasa Island onto the Mainland Kenya. The causeway consists of dual carriageway and railways track. The bridge also carries a 2.5 Foot diameter main water pipe that supplies the Island with water, running high volume and relatively high pressure, along the top of the bridge line making this a very sensitive area.
